I found this picture online and I really like it as it captures a mood I would like to include in my teaser trailer. Its very unposed and I like that and it shows the obvious closeness between the friends.

After collecting the results I have put together a bar chart to show the four most popular film genres. You can see that romantic comedys and chick flicks are the most popular. This is the genre I will use for my teaser trailer.

After collecting back in my questionnaire I have put together a series of graphs to show the results. Twenty five people from a range of ages and genders took part. The graph on the left here shows the age and gender percentages of those who took part.

Marking my own work...

So far for the work I have completed I would give myself a level three. I have shown research into similar products by analysing a number of different teaser trailers and also the films themselves from different genres. The presentation of my research and planning is clear and easily accesed online. I have shown my skill in the use of digital technology through uploading a powerpoint using SlideShare and by presenting my work electronically on my blog. Although there is not evidence of work and organisation into location, actors, costumes or props, this is all to come I will also upload my storyboard, shotlists and script as I go along.

My target for the rest of this term until Christmas is to complete all of my research and planning to begin filming in January. Things I still need to complete are:
  • Questionnaire results
  • A final idea of genre and target audience and analysis of teaser trailers which are similar
  • A few possible final ideas for my teaser trailer and draft storyboards
  • Costume, location, actors, props and sound ideas
  • A very final idea for my teaser trailer with a detailed storyboard ready to begin filming.
